Unit 8 Blog
Wow I can't believe we are almost done with the semester. It has gone by fast this time. My kids are almost about to go back to school. OK, so the two practices that I enjoyed the most was the subtle mind and yoga. The subtle mind has helped because since I started school I have felt so overwhelmed on what I had to accomplish. I didn't realize how much more work an online course is. I get so much senseless chatter in my head at night, I have a hard time shutting it off and falling asleep. The subtle mind has helped me with this a lot. I have been getting more quality and longer sleep. The other technique that has been helpful to me is Yoga. I always said I would try it and never did. Then one morning I went to my gym and took a class. It was intimidating at first, but I had a great instructor. I now can do my practice at home everyday and take her class on Friday's. It really rejuvenates me and relaxes me at the same time. If I am feeling over stressed, I just stop what I am doing at home and do some yoga. I am going to continue both these practices so I can improve in my physical, spiritual, and mental well-being. I can then share with others the impact it has made in my life. Hopefully, with them willing, I can help them on their life journey too.

Yes I have always wanted to try Yoga myself, I used to watch my father do it and some of the moves looked crazy. i have tried pilated and that works great but i heard Yoga is more mental. I can't believe the semster is almost over either the summer is just flying by.Well enjoy it and good luck on your next course.

ReplyDeleteI really wish I could spend a day with all of you guys, you all seem so full of integral health choices,exercises and loving kindness that will surely help flourish my lifestyle***I really think mental exercises help strength the mental will power to overcome all forms of adversity. I am glad that you have found peace with yoga and the subtle mind exercises. Pass what you have learned to others...angie:)
I too have trouble shutting my mind from all the clutter at night. I find myself needing to get out of bed to do something that I forgot and get even less sleep. I like subtle mind because it does help to clear my mind and help me get a good nights sleep.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. I'm glad that you have been able to practice yoga. It is a great exercise. Subtle mind is what I found to be beneifical as well. It helped me to calm myself and just relax. Great posts! I can't believe class is almost over either.
